Afidus have updated both their models in 2020 to the new “S” model. The updates bring a host of technical improvements and provide the user with a much more enjoyable overall experience. The new cameras are now far more responsive to use in every aspect; the view finder is super smooth at 30FPS, the optical zoom is much quicker to adjust and focus, and transferring your files is far speedier than ever before. 


The Afidus engineers have managed the incredible and turned a long-lasting camera into an ultra-long-lasting camera with some greatly reduced power consumption. Afidus claim up to 2x longer at certain shot intervals! You can now leave your camera running on your project for 4 months+ before you’ll ever need to change the batteries. We think it’s an amazing feat given the camera uses only 4xAA batteries!

Control App

Control the ATL-200S & ATL-201S via the stable and easy-to-use App (iOS or Android). Frame your shot using the clear live-feed viewer, then zoom and focus to your liking. Adjust any shot settings you wish, like interval time, scene modes, exposure or HDR level, then select your record mode. Once triggered, the ATL-200S will beep twice and the LED indicator will flash to confirm your project is being recorded. It couldn't be simpler!

  • What is the difference between the 200S and the 201S models?

    Which model do I choose?


    ATL-201S - If you plan to record projects such as construction, landscaping, vistas and panoramas, the ATL-201S is the model for you. Its wide angle 100° fixed lens is perfect for capturing any subject from approx 1m away, all the way up to infinity. This camera is even easier to use than its big brother model as you don't have to worry about focusing your subject. 


    The ATL-201S has exactly the same specs as its bigger brother, the ATL-200S, but drops the optical zoom and PIR motion sensor capabilities. Most importantly, you still get the same great image quality, but at a more economic price point.


    ATL-200S - If you plan to do macro "close-up" time-lapse projects, such as flowers blooming , leaves decaying, model making, flow rates of fluids, or if you need to zoom into distant objects, you will require the ATL-200S model. This model, due to its integral PIR sensor, also has the ability to capture wildlife or intruder movement. The ATL-200S is the far more versatile of the two models on offer.

  • Can you use the ATL-200S or ATL-201S outside?

    Yes, it's an IP65 rating housing, so it's perfect for wet weather. IP65 rated means - "dust tight" and protected against water projected from a nozzle. 


    The new 200s model now comes with a silicon "boot" that improves weather resistance compared with the older models. The case also has the added ability of preventing any damage  due the camera being dropped (within reason). 

  • How do I change shoot settings and use the viewfinder?

    Everything is controlled by an easy-to-use App. Just download the App (Android or Apple iOS) and connect to the ATL-200s internal Wifi access point to use the realtime viewfinder and change shot settings.  Please note, you WILL require some sort of smart phone or tablet to setup this device.  Once setup, you can press the button to start capturing  at your chosen settings whenever you like. 

  • What changes can I make to my shoot settings?

    You can alter many parameters on the camera, from shot Interval, frame rate, screen ratio, to the more technical aspects like, bitrate quality, scene, HDR, white balance, contrast, exposure, sharpness etc. There's plenty to experiment with! 

  • What time-lapse intervals can i set?

    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 minute, 1, 4, 24 hour, Custom time interval of any duration. You can also do continuous Intervals at 5, 10, 15 FPS @ 1080, and 30 FPS @ 720.

  • Does the ATL-200S or ATL-201S have a Scheduler?

    Yes, it has a full weekly scheduler which is perfect for filming daylight working hours, eg, building projects only on working days. Simply select the daily duration and days you want to record to save on editing out unwanted footage, and save battery life. 

  • What video format does the ATL-200S or ATL-201S use?

    The ATL-200S has been updated to the universal MP4  format which is far easier to work with on both Macs and PCs. 

  • Can I have a constant power supply to the camera?

    Of course, there's a Micro USB connector on the side of the housing if you need constant power? The unit uses a standard 5 V/1A  "phone charger" power supply. 

  • How do I download my footage?

    There are two ways to do this. Either connect a  computer or laptop via USB cable to the ATL-200, or connect to the ATL-200s  intenal Wifi and transfer the files over Wifi to your smart phone or tablet. 

  • Can I get technical support if I buy a camera?

    Absolutely, we can run you though any teething issues you might have. Just contact us and we'll happily run through everything with you. Believe us, it's a very simple unit to operate once you've had a few minutes with it...It's only got one button on the top to press!
